For thousands of years, horses served the two-leggers that called themselves humans. They pulled carts, ran circles, jumped, did tricks and carried the two-leggers around. They were obedient little servants for years, taking the abuse and under appreciation they were given. However this all changed when the meteor shower hit.
This was no usual meteor shower, it didn't strike random places on earth. No it showered the earth, striking each and every town with multiple meteors. The radiation from the meteors infected the humans and horses, but unlike the horses...the humans could not survive. Mass numbers died off, and pretty soon only the animals existed. Chaos erupted as the animals battled for the new superior species.
Some of the horses infected by the radiation struck back, they'd developed special powers. The other animals bowed to the horses, accepting them as the superior species. But even in the horses there was descent. Some horses didn't develop powers, and were quickly ranked as slaves. A select few horses were outraged by this, and struck out on their own to train in a vow of returning peace to the lands. There were those who were for slaves, and they like those of peace struck out on their own. They viewed themselves above everyone, and called themselves Gods for they were of the gifted.
Of course it wasn't long before they split, arguing over whom was the true superiors. If it was horses with powers or those without. Which side will you be on?
